Goldar - Fan Art - Jan 23rd, 2017

So I've just seen the newest trailer for Power Rangers, and while on the whole it's looking quite exciting, there was one aspect I found lacking. What appears to be Goldar is now just a huge chunk of gold. Personally, I think they could have done something more in keeping with his classic appearence. Something I used as the theme of this piece, which gave me a break from my tendency to do human faces. This was a lot of fun to do, I tried sneaking in elements of a panther, including facial fur which didn't work how I was hoping (influenced in no small part by recently seeing the new Jungle Book!) instead of the more simian/wolf look Goldar had in the original show.
